Studio Printmakers' Collective

About our Collective

We are an independent, not-for-profit printmaking collective run by practising printmakers and artists since 1990.

We aim to provide a studio where, printmakers can not only work, but  also gather to exchange ideas, hold workshops, organise exhibitions and meet visiting local and international printmakers and tutors.

We are located on the North Shore of Auckland at The Lake House Arts Centre, Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna just a few minutes from the centre of the city. The Lake  House is run by a Board of Trustees who set the rent annually for our Studio.
There is plenty of parking in the Arts Centre Grounds and a café operates in the main Arts Centre building every day except Monday.

Our Studio
Our Studio is a Army barracks building moved from the historic site of Fort Cautley and refurbished to our requirements. The light  and  ventilation is good.

We cannot guarantee sole use of the studio to any particular person, but in general there is always plenty of space to work in.

All equipment has been purchased over the years by the Studio collective
The Studio is primarily set up for intaglio/relief/solar plate printing but can accommodate screen printing.
