Studio Printmakers Collective is a self funded, non profit making group of up
to ten printmakers working as a co-operative.

The Collective, founded in 1990, grew out of printmaking classes at the Auckland
Society of Arts. It was housed in the stables of the historic Monte Cecelia convent
and for many years was known as The Stables Print Workshop.

Over the intervening years the Collective has moved many times,
the name has changed to reflect the changing locations.

While only two members of the founding members remain, the core group of the Collective is made up of a changing group of emerging and experienced printmakers from both New Zealand and other parts of the world,
